[Lunch Idea] Asparagus and Poached Egg

Quick and easy lunch idea

I decided to start a series of quick and easy meal ideas, that I usually prepare for myself. I'm sure you all know how to poach an egg (if not, there are millions of great tutorials on the internet - number one being Chef John's, of course) and boil some asparagus, but sometimes it just helps to see some photos to get inspired.
So this is what I made: I poached an egg, boiled some asparagus for a couple of minutes (surely you could roast them as well, but I just couldn't be bothered to use the oven), topped it with some Gruyere, seasoned it with salt and pepper and sprinkled a bit of olive oil on top. And that's it. It was Perfection. I ate it with a slice of bread, but you don't even need that, cause the asparagus just complements the egg perfectly.
